Check out the free patterns below for original designs of quilts and quilted items! Most of these have been featured in quilting magazines and are offered here on my website free once the magazine’s exclusive rights to the design are finished.
As a quilt designer, the challenge is to create original patterns to mesh with a magazine’s call for content for a specific theme. A spectrum of colors, shapes, techniques or special events sought by the magazine guide what my design evolves into.

Free Pattern: Table Runner and Placemats
Create placemats and a matching table runner with a main fabric theme of your choice, with three accent colors on each side (shown here: Southwest colors theme).
These easy decor items are not quilted and are finished by stitching the tops to the linings and turning them inside out. This saves time instead of applying binding.
They can be made in a wide variety of fabrics, from whimsical to formal, licensed characters to favorite color schemes!
