Machine Quilting

I was drawn to free-motion quilting as a way of replicating the graceful, intricate designs of hand-quilting but using the sewing machine to make the process faster and more durable. Free-motion quilting demands careful hand-eye coordination and plenty of practice. In my humble opinion, it is much more challenging than hand-quilting! The examples on this page show the kinds of detail achievable using free-motion quilting, along with quilting with the presser foot on the sewing machine.
